LETTER FROM SUSAN OWEN

Painting the Seasons

August 5, 2014

Dear Oklahoma O.W.C.P China Painters,

Are you painting this wonderful summer? Are your works of art ready for the State Fair?

I am looking forward to seeing you at our next board meeting. The meeting will take place on September 20, 2014, at the O.W.C.P. Museum. There will be coffee and donuts at 9:30 a.m., then meeting will start at 10 a.m.

After the board meeting the China Dolls is providing lunch for $ 5.00 a person.

In keeping with this year’s theme of Painting the Seasons, Pat Wisely will be doing a fall paint-along and Lois Higgins will be doing a winter scene. These paint-along cost $20.00. So bring your palettes and brushes and let’s paint along!

Pictures and patterns for the paint alongs are on the following pages. There will be 8 inch plates on sale for $6.00 at following the board meeting.

There will also be a raffle for a Gift Cards from Hobby Lobby and from Michael’s.

Remember, the Oklahoma World Organization of China Painters needs your support and participation!

Susan Owen, President

Oklahoma World Organization of China Painters

It is important we create an interest in our art so it will not be lost. One place to show our art is at the state fair.

I would like some feedback on the Paint-In that was held this past April. Please answer the following questions and return your answers to me at [email protected] .

1.) Tell three things positive things about the Paint-In.

2.) What things need improving?

3.) What would encourage you to come to the board meetings?

4.) How would you suggest we raise money to fund Paint-In and/or convention.

5.) Name two porcelain artist you would like to paint with at the Paint-In.

I am hoping by getting your getting your ideas, we will once again have a more active organization; an organization which inspires you to paint and take an active part in what it has to offer.

Thank you and have a great summer.

Susan Owen , President Oklahoma O.W.C.P. Inc.
