PORCELAIN ART SHOW

1. Creativity – originality, ingenuity

3. Presentation – visual perception or attractiveness

5. Sale Price – available for purchase as part of CST fundraising effort. A 15% commission will be assessed all sales.

All work should be original work or copied by permission of the original artist and ready for display with frame, wire, and title card (show title, artist name, and price. Artists may provide a 4x6 inch artist statement for display. In addition, please put your name, title, and price on the back of each piece. One of the three pieces submitted may be marked NFS (not for sale). If you aren’t sure you want to sell it, put a higher price. In addition to showcasing porcelain art and Oklahoma artists, this is a fundraiser for CST so the expectation is that most pieces will be available for purchase.

Be on the lookout for frames at estate sales, garage sales, and thrift stores to avoid the cost of custom made frames. Desktop 8x10 inch frames are half price at Hobby Lobby. Since porcelain tiles are often not a perfect fit, I may remove and clean the glass, spray paint the edge that is exposed so it appears to be a mat, and use silicone to adhere the tile to the unpainted glass.

Although precautions are taken, CST, WOCP, or their staff or volunteers are not responsible for loss or damage to artwork. The right to reject entries is reserved.

ENTRY PROCEDURE: Individual WOCP members who reside in Oklahoma and/or OK WOCP clubs should deliver up to 3 pieces per member to the WOCP Porcelain Art Museum, located at 2700 N. This is a great opportunity to introduce the community to porcelain art, promote the museum, and experience what it is like to display in a community fine art exhibit. Go wild with your artist statement and maybe sell a piece of your work like the big boys. Heck, you can even paint pieces for the State Fair with double duty at CST.
